On Saturday, Curtis officially committed to Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs. After receiving offers from Ohio State, Alabama, and Tennessee, the Nashville native was thought by many recruiting analysts to be headed to Columbus.

a strong-armed, somewhat moxie quarterback prospect. has a good build; as a 9th grader, he was about 6-foot-3 and 215 pounds. played running back in his early football career before being considered for a position under center. He became successful in his new role, winning Tennessee’s Mr. Football runner-up title during a first season in which he won 10 games and amassed just over 2,750 yards of offense.

According to the scouting report from 247 Sports, Jared Curtis is not afraid to dial up the deep ball and tends to connect on plenty of vertical shots. Also excels at hitting timing-based breaking routes over the middle. Shouldn’t be classified as a true dual-treat talent, but can move the chains with his legs and work off-script when the pocket collapses.

His camp footage shows both pace and touch. This all sounds ideal for the Georgia Bulldogs as they have a crowded QB room but plenty of talent to compete to help keep them at the top of the SEC.
