He made it a point to emphasize how simple a solution this could be, given that his team’s owner is one of the wealthiest men in the world and the NFL generates billions of cash, all of which goes directly to the Dallas Cowboys.

“This is a billion-dollar industry, and you want the best product on the market every time. So forget about the weather and everything else, and let’s see who’s better.”

The Cowboys’ practice facility at The Star includes two full-size fields. One has artificial turf, the other grass. When asked about his thoughts on the issue, Dallas coach Mike McCarthy alluded to this reality.

“We practice on the grass every single day,” McCarthy stated.

Cowboys receiver CeeeDee Lamb not only expressed his support for grass fields, but also implied that his owner, Jerry Jones, should be the one to initiate a change.

“That is it. Lamb responded, “I can’t tell Jerry anything. It’s simple: we need grass. The grass feels better on us.

This weekend, the Dallas Cowboys are deviating from their usual commitment to maintaining artificial turf. AT&T Stadium’s surfaces have changed for this weekend’s CONCACAF Nations League games.

The stadium usually has a turf surface, but for the weekend’s games, it was altered to grass because CONCACAF games must be played on grass.

It’s a fantastic thing for soccer players, but NFL offensive lineman David Bakhtiari is upset about it. He wonders why the NFL doesn’t have full grass surfaces in each stadium. And he’s obviously not alone.

“But not for NFL players,” he tweeted.

Bakhtiari is one of few NFL players who prefer to play on grass over turf. Turf surfaces leave players feeling substantially worse after games and training than grass.

Even Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen is a big lover of grassy grounds.

“As players, we’ve been advocating for this for quite some time now. “The way our bodies feel after turf games or practices is significantly different than on grass,” Allen remarked in September.

Currently, 15 NFL stadiums have natural grass fields, while the remaining 15 have various types of turf. Each stadium has the option of transitioning to grass, but this is a never-ending discussion.

Jerry Jones, the owner of the Dallas Cowboys, is currently unpopular among his fans owing to his static approach to free agency, and this choice has clearly angered players throughout the league.
