Marko Sikic, the leading scorer for the Sarnia Sting, has begun his professional career with the Newfoundland Growlers, the Toronto Maple Leafs’ ECHL affiliate.
Sikic made career highs this season, scoring 18 goals, 39 assists, and 57 points in 66 games.

He led the Sting in assists and points while acting as alternative captain.
The six-foot-three, 183-pound Kitchener native, who turned 21 on Sunday, was purchased by the Sting from the Guelph Storm for the 2021-22 season.

Sikic concluded his Ontario Hockey League career with 47 goals and 100 assists in 252 regular-season games across four seasons. He also scored six points in 21 playoff games.
He had a goal and an assist in his final OHL game on Saturday.
Sikic rejoins former Sting captain Nolan Dillingham, a rookie on the Growlers’ blue line. Dillingham has three goals, seven assists, and 58 penalty minutes over 49 games.
Ty Voit, a former Sting teammate, also played with the Growlers this season, scoring two goals and assisting six times in five games. Voit was called up to the Toronto Marlies in December, but suffered a season-ending shoulder injury on his American Hockey League debut.
Voit also injured his shoulder in September at the NHL Prospects Tournament in Traverse City, Michigan, and was out until December.
