Huntersville, North Carolina (March 26, 2024) – The SPHL honored Houston Wilson of the Pensacola Ice Flyers as the Warrior/SPHL Player of the Week for March 18-24.

Wilson scored three goals, assisted three times, and had a plus-6 rating as Pensacola split two games with Macon over the weekend.

Pensacola Ice Flyers defeated the Mayhem 6-1 on Friday, with Wilson scoring their sixth goal of the season. Wilson controlled the scoreboard the next night, scoring a goal and an assist in the opening period. He scored another goal and assist in the second period, before ending his five-point night with an assist in the final.

With his six-point week, the Philadelphia, PA native now has two games of four or more points this season, the previous being on January 13 versus Roanoke (2g, 2a). Wilson has eight goals and 15 assists this season with the Ice Flyers.

The following players were nominated for Warrior Player of the Week: Scott Donahue (Birmingham), Todd Goehring (Fayetteville), Phil Elgstam (Huntsville), Anthony Cinato (Knoxville), Derek Mecrones (Macon), JM Piotrowski (Peoria), Cole Golka (Quad City), and Alex DiCarlo (Roanoke).
