Game Story

The Newfoundland Growlers lost 3-2 against the Worcester Railers on Friday night at the DCU Center.

Grant Cruikshank scored just 77 seconds into the game, giving the Growlers a 1-0 lead after one period.

Zach O’Brien scored a Growlers powerplay goal midway through the middle frame, giving Newfoundland a 2-0 lead after two periods.

Anthony Callin put the Railers up five minutes into the third period, but Blade Jenkins tied the score at 2-2 with 8:15 remaining.

Reece Newkirk gave Worcester their first lead of the night with 6:16 left to play, and the Railers held on for a 3-2 victory.
