We’re all good: Three Iowa Heartlanders players recently just declared their departure stating that it is for a clear reason

Ethan Burroughs, an overage forward with the Owen Sound Attack, has signed a contract with the Iowa Heartlanders of the East Coast Hockey League, which will keep him with them for the rest of the season.In Iowa’s 6-2 loss against the Kalamazoo Wings, Burroughs scored the team’s second goal during the opening game on Wednesday night.

“To play professional hockey has always been my dream,” Burroughs stated.”I am appreciative of the Iowa Heartlanders for providing me with this chance.This marks the beginning of the next phase in my hockey career.

The Georgetown, Ontario native spent four seasons as an Attack player, participating in 256 regular season games and scoring 93 goals and 102 assists. In 15 postseason contests, he added three goals and one assist.

The Iowa Heartlanders of the East Coast Hockey League announced on today that they have signed Owen Sound Attack overage forward Ethan Burroughs to a contract for the remainder of the season.  Burroughs played in first game on Wednesday night, scoring Iowa’s second goal of the game in a 6-2 loss to the Kalamazoo Wings.

“It has always been my dream to play pro hockey” said Burroughs.  “I am grateful to the Iowa Heartlanders for giving me this opportunity.  This is the first step I the next chapter of my hockey career.”

In four seasons with the Attack the Georgetown, Ontario native played in 256 regular season games tallying 93 goals and 102 assists, while adding 3 goals and 1 assist in 15 playoff games.

Burroughs and the Heartlanders will close out their regular season this weekend with a set of home games at the Xtream Arena, first Friday, April 12 against the Kalamazoo Wings at 6:35pm then on Saturday, April 13 against the KC Mavericks at 6:05pm, all games are CDT.
