Previous Falcons forward John Collins generally appeared to be a piece of exchange tales during his time in Atlanta, and, surprisingly, subsequent to being traded to the Utah Jazz, the exchange bits of gossip have found Collins once more. As per Andy Larson of the Salt Lake Tribune, Collins is back on the exchange block:
Perhaps the biggest surprise on the trade block is new power forward acquisition John Collins, the source said.
The 26-year-old has the lowest on-court/off-court splits of any rotation player on the team, and the team has been frustrated with his slow uptake on learning the Jazz’s system on both ends of the floor.
Collins has been a solid shooter and rebounder this season, but he hasn’t contributed as much elsewhere.
Collins is having a solid season with the Jazz, but it does not seem that the salary he is making is matching the kind of production you would expect.
For his career, Collins is averaging 15.8 PPG and 8.0 RPG. He is shooting 38% from three this season after having a down year in that category.
