Oklahoma Sooners lands another transfer portal pledge from former Louisville, ASU DL Jermayne Lole.
After signing former SMU center Branson Hickman on Sunday afternoon, the Sooners added another veteran from the transfer portal just one day later.
Former Louisville and Arizona State defensive lineman Jermayne Lole tweeted Monday afternoon that he has committed to Oklahoma via the transfer portal.
Lole will enter his eighth year of college football in 2024, having missed the whole 2021 season at Arizona State and only played in two games at Louisville in 2022 before suffering a season-ending injury.
From 2020 to 2022, Lole appeared in only six games, losing time due to various injuries.
The veteran defensive tackle appeared in 12 games for the Cardinals in 2023, totaling 411 snaps, the second-most in a season of his career. In his final year at Louisville, Lole recorded five tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, and two pass breakups, earning a defensive grade of 69.1 from Pro Football Focus.
Lole has played at least ten games in three seasons. As a freshman in 2018, the Long Beach, CA native appeared in ten games before enjoying a breakout season in 2019. As a sophomore, Lole recorded 10 tackles for loss and 6.5 sacks for the Sun Devils.
The former 4-star recruit received a 75.3 defensive grade from PFF in 2019, playing 737 snaps as an interior defensive lineman.
