The Miami Dolphins are a professional American football team headquartered in Miami Gardens, Fla. They compete in the National Football League’s (NFL) American Football Conference (AFC) East Division. The Miami Dolphins began play in 1966 as an expansion team in the American Football League (AFL), and they later joined the NFL as part of the merger. Since 1987, the team has played its home games at Hard Rock Stadium, which was previously known as Joe Robbie Stadium, Pro Player Stadium, Dolphins Stadium, Landshark Stadium, and Sun Life Stadium.[1] The Dolphins are presently owned by Stephen M.
