A pedestrian died after being hit by a pickup truck Thursday morning in north Alabama, authorities confirmed Friday.
Timothy D. Wood Jr., 34, of Leighton, Colbert County, was hit by a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado that initially struck a trailer attached to a 2013 Chevrolet Suburban Wood was driving before exiting the vehicle on Alabama State Route 184 near Shaw Road around 10 a.m. Thursday, according to Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Senior Trooper Cody Farrar.
Wood was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which occurred roughly five miles east of Muscle Shoals.
