Sad breaking:Verstappen shatters ‘thin veneer’ with return of ‘razor blades on elbows’ tactics…

Max Verstappen has been accused of returning to his old tactics, revealing “a thin veneer” over his character during a high-stakes Austrian Grand Prix clash with Lando Norris.

Former F1 driver Martin Brundle commented during the race at the Red Bull Ring that Verstappen was “reverting to early years Max,” using aggressive defensive moves in the braking zones.

This behavior angered Norris, who felt the three-time F1 champion was committing the cardinal sin of moving under braking.

In the race’s closing stages, after Norris closed in on Verstappen’s Red Bull following a slow pit stop, two attempts to overtake into Turn 3 saw both drivers go off track.

On lap 64, the battle culminated in another attack by Norris, resulting in Verstappen moving across on him, seemingly under braking again. This led to their collision, punctures on both cars, the retirement of Norris’s MCL24, and a 10-second time penalty for Verstappen.
