REPORTING:Christian Horner Updates on Norris vs. Verstappen Saga Before British GP.Christian said…
Just days after the clash between Max Verstappen and Lando Norris at the Austrian Grand Prix, Christian Horner stated that he understands the two have already spoken and doesn’t expect any lingering issues.
The incident occurred when Norris attempted several times to pass Verstappen for the lead, eventually going around the outside at Turn 3 on lap 64. Verstappen moved left, resulting in contact that caused rear-wheel punctures for both cars.
Norris, who retired from the race, was furious and mentioned that he would lose “respect” for Verstappen if he didn’t take responsibility for the crash. Verstappen’s sarcastic reaction to his 10-second penalty suggests he may not publicly accept blame.
However, Horner noted that the two friends, who frequently spend time together off the track, have already discussed the incident to clear the air. “I understand they’ve spoken already, I don’t think there is any issue,” the Red Bull team boss told Sky Sports News.
