Shohei Ohtani, the remarkable designated hitter for the Los Angeles Dodgers, achieved another milestone in his illustrious career on Tuesday night at the MLB All-Star Game in Arlington, Texas.

During a thrilling third inning, Ohtani smashed a three-run home run off Red Sox pitcher Tanner Houck, breaking the scoreless tie and electrifying the crowd.

This wasn’t just any home run; it marked the first time a Dodgers player had gone deep in the All-Star Game since Mike Piazza’s memorable blast in 1996.

The stage was set with Jurickson Profar and Ketel Marte on base, both delivering solid hits to apply pressure on Houck. As Ohtani approached the plate, the anticipation was palpable. After taking two balls, he found his pitch—an 88.7 mph splitter.

With a swing that echoed through the ballpark, Ohtani launched the ball 400 feet to right-center, with an exit velocity of 103.7 mph. The crowd’s roar was deafening, celebrating not only a game-changing moment but also a historic one.
