Paris 2024: Sha’Carri Richardson talks about…see more

World 100m champion Sha’Carri Richardson has shared her thoughts on what it’s like to be considered the ‘fastest’ as she prepares for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

Richardson earned her place in Paris by winning the women’s 100m at the US Olympic trials with a world-leading time of 10.71 seconds, making her not only the fastest woman in the world but also the fastest overall this year.

Aiming to make her Olympic debut unforgettable by winning the gold medal, the 24-year-old is reveling in the experience of being the fastest athlete heading to Paris.

In a Nike ad titled ‘Winning isn’t for everyone,’ Richardson shared a video on her Instagram depicting the sensation of victory, captioned:

“The person who’s the fastest is the person who feels it!!!

Having claimed the world title in Budapest last year, Richardson is now aiming for another triumph in Paris. If she succeeds, she will become the first American woman to win the Olympic 100m since Gail Devers in 1996.
