“I don’t think we’ve been up there that it wasn’t just a battle,” Smart said according to the Athens Banner-Herald.
“I can’t think of a time I’ve ever been to that stadium and played in a game that was like, ‘Well, that was easy.’ It’s never easy up there. Never.”
The Wildcats finished 7-6 overall, 3-5 in the SEC last season and notched a 31-0 win over Southern Miss in Week One before crashing to Earth last week vs. the Gamecocks.
The Bulldogs have an SEC record 27 consecutive regular season wins. With 2023 SEC Title Game victor Alabama on the schedule for September 28 in Tuscaloosa, Coach Smart doesn’t want the Bulldogs to feel complacent heading into Saturday night’s contest in Lexington.
“Coach Smart’s been preaching every day, it’s going to be like a blow-by-blow,” Georgia defensive back Joenel Aguero said. “It’s going to be a fight.”
