In other exciting news, Ozzy is set to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame for a second time during this year’s ceremony on October 19 in Cleveland, Ohio. The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame announced a star-studded lineup of musicians, including Zakk Wylde, Robert Trujillo, Billy Idol, Wolfgang Van Halen, Maynard James Keenan, Jelly Roll, Steve Stevens, Chad Smith, and Andrew Watt, who will join the stage to honor Osbourne. Additionally, Ozzy super-fan Jack Black is slated to make an appearance during the event.
The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame teased the lineup with the statement: “Taking the stage to celebrate the storied career of The Prince of Darkness, Ozzy Osbourne, is a true all-star cast of incredible musicians… It’s not a Shot In the Dark to say that this tribute is about to be legendary.” The 2024 induction ceremony will be broadcast live on Disney+ with a later airing on ABC and streaming on Hulu.
According to the Daily Record, Ozzy is preparing to return to the stage for the first time in over a year at the induction ceremony, despite ongoing health struggles. Mobility issues have made it difficult for Osbourne to walk or stand for extended periods, but sources say he will travel from his Los Angeles home to be part of the celebration in Cleveland.
Osbourne, Peter Frampton, Foreigner, and MC5 are among the 16 artists being honored in the 2024 Inductee Class. “It’s still hard to believe I’m about to be a two-time inductee into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame,” Ozzy shared. He expressed gratitude for his fans, saying, “I am so blessed to have had such an incredible career with amazing fans who have stuck by me through thick and thin.”
