Lewis Hamilton contract negotiations shared by ferrari boss…
Ferrari boss Frederic Vasseur has acknowledged Lewis Hamilton’s upcoming move to Ferrari in 2025, which came after lengthy negotiations and a significant offer from Ferrari’s chairman, John Elkann.
Reportedly, Hamilton was initially approached with a two-year, $100 million deal, but negotiations evolved to include perks aligned with his philanthropic goals, notably support for his Mission 44 foundation.
As part of the agreement, Ferrari’s parent company, Exor, offered Hamilton a substantial business investment fund for his projects.
Hamilton described this decision as a “childhood dream” come true, drawn by Ferrari’s historic legacy and influence in Formula 1.
His reunion with Vasseur, who previously managed Hamilton early in his career, was also a key factor in his decision.
Hamilton will be joining Charles Leclerc, forming what many expect to be one of Ferrari’s strongest lineups in recent years.
