Ohio State walk-on tight end Patrick Gurd entered the transfer portal on Sunday.
The fifth-year senior had carved out a small role on the offense and had played as a fullback and an extra tight end when called upon. Gurd played 45 snaps this season for the Buckeyes.

Gurd will have a final year of eligibility wherever he ends up after leaving Ohio State.
The future of Ohio State’s tight end room looks very bright, as Will Kacmarek will return for another season. Then, Bennett Christian, Max LeBlanc, Jelani Thurman, Brody Lennon and Nate Roberts are all set to return.
