Breaking News: former four-star edge rusher commits to ohio state

Ohio State football is a couple of days away from taking on the Texas Longhorns in the Cotton Bowl for the right to move on to the College Football Playoff National Championship game, but the coaching staff is also working on making additions through the transfer portal and rumors are swirling about a former four-star edge rusher.

Damon Wilson II is a former four-star edge rusher form the state of Florida in the class of 2023 who committed and played the last two seasons for the Georgia Bulldogs. He has recently announced he will be looking to play elsewhere through the transfer portal.

Perhaps he hasn’t cracked that elite potential yet with only 22 tackles and three sacks this past season, but with two seasons of eligibility left a coaching staff would be very happy to snag an elite athlete who stands at 6-foot, 4-inches and 250 pounds.

Rumors are swirling that the Buckeyes are making a push to get him on the roster for 2025. Georgia EDGE Damon Wilson who entered the transfer portal who was once considered an OSU lean during his high school recruiting process is now following Ohio State defensive end coach LaAllan Clark on Instagram. Multiple sources confirmed today that OSU will pursue Wilson.
