Sad Departure: Legendary Jannik Sinner Announced Sudden Retirement Regarding The Recent…..read more

In January 2025, during the Australian Open, world No. 1 Jannik Sinner confirmed that his longtime coach, Darren Cahill, will retire at the end of the 2025 season. Cahill, who began working with Sinner in 2022, played a pivotal role in his rise to the top of men’s tennis, guiding him to two Grand Slam titles and helping him become the ATP world No. 1. Sinner expressed deep gratitude, calling Cahill “an amazing coach and person” and honoring him as his final mentor on tour.

Despite recent online rumors, Sinner himself is not retiring. These claims, which have circulated on unverified websites, are false and not supported by any credible sources. No official statement, media outlet, or ATP communication has suggested that Sinner is stepping away from the sport.

Sinner remains highly active on the ATP Tour. He successfully defended his Australian Open title in January 2025 and reached the French Open final in June, narrowly losing to Carlos Alcaraz in five sets. Earlier this year, he served a three-month suspension due to an anti-doping violation involving clostebol. The ban, which ended in May, was the result of an inadvertent exposure, and Sinner reached a settlement with the World Anti-Doping Agency.

During a recent interview, Sinner admitted the suspension caused him emotional stress, saying he briefly “considered quitting,” but ultimately reaffirmed his commitment to the sport.

Looking forward, Sinner is preparing for life after Cahill. While there was speculation about him hiring Carlos Moyá, Moyá has publicly denied taking the coaching role. Sinner’s team structure for 2026 remains uncertain, but his focus and ambition are undiminished.
