
Lewis Hamilton Dismisses Retirement Rumors, Commits to Long-Term Future at Ferrari
Lewis Hamilton has firmly denied speculation about an early retirement from Formula 1, insisting he is committed to Ferrari and intends to continue racing for several more years. The seven-time world champion addressed the rumors ahead of the Canadian Grand Prix, stating, “I’ve literally only just started here… I’m here for several years and I’m here for the long haul.”
Hamilton’s comments come in response to recent media speculation suggesting he may step away from the sport before completing his current contract, which runs through the end of the 2026 season. Some of the speculation stemmed from Ferrari’s early-season struggles and teammate Charles Leclerc’s stronger performances, but Hamilton dismissed the stories as “nonsense,” expressing full support for team principal Fred Vasseur and Ferrari’s long-term vision.
