Following an investigation by the FIA, Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz has been fined €2 for his involvement in a crash during the third qualifying session (Q3) at the Singapore Grand Prix. Half of the fine has been suspended, meaning he will only have to pay €1 immediately, with the remaining portion potentially waived if no further incidents occur.

The crash occurred during the high-pressure qualifying session, raising concerns about safety and the circumstances surrounding the incident. The FIA launched a formal investigation to assess whether any rules were violated. After reviewing the incident, the governing body issued the financial penalty, deeming it appropriate given the nature of the crash.

This incident adds to the tension leading up to the race, as Sainz continues to navigate the challenges of a competitive Formula 1 season.
