The Swedish tribute band “Arrival” is set to perform the Music of ABBA show in central Vietnam, with performances scheduled for October 8 in Hoi An and October 9 in Danang. These events are a celebration of the music of ABBA, one of the most iconic pop bands in music history.
Nguyen Long An, a member of the Associated Board of Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) in Ho Chi Minh City and representative of the organizers, announced that the performances will also include a special collaboration with the Saigon Philharmonic Orchestra. This partnership aims to elevate the show, blending the symphonic power of the orchestra with the timeless hits of ABBA.
Fans can expect to hear some of ABBA’s most beloved songs, including Dancing Queen, Mama Mia, SOS, The Winner Takes It All, Money, Money, Money, and Just a Notion. The latter song, Just a Notion, is particularly special as it was composed by ABBA members Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson and was personally gifted to Arrival as a tribute to the band’s status as one of the best ABBA tribute acts in the world.
Andre Pierre Gentzsch, general director of the International Furama-Ariyana Complex, emphasized the significance of this event, noting that it will be the first international music event hosted at these locations. He expressed optimism that the success of the Music of ABBA show could pave the way for more international music stars and bands to perform in Danang, boosting the city’s profile as a global entertainment destination.
The Arrival band, widely regarded as one of the top ABBA tribute acts worldwide, will perform at Hoi An Memories Land on October 8 and at Danang’s Ariyana International Convention Center on October 9. These performances are expected to attract both local and international fans, offering them a nostalgic trip back to the golden era of ABBA’s music.
Tickets for the event range in price from VND800,000 (approximately $32) to VND5 million (around $200), catering to a wide range of audiences. With such a varied price range, the event aims to provide access to ABBA’s music for fans from all walks of life, while also offering premium options for those seeking an enhanced concert experience.
