Brittany Force, a prominent figure in drag racing, reached a significant milestone by securing her 50th No. 1 qualifying position at the 39th Annual Texas NHRA Fall Nationals held at Texas Motorplex in Ennis, Texas. This achievement adds to her impressive career in the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) Mission Foods Drag Racing Series.
Force first made her mark in 2014, earning her initial No. 1 qualifying spot in the Top Fuel category in Kansas. That event was particularly memorable as both she and her sister, Courtney Force, took the top qualifying positions in their respective categories. Their father, John Force, also set a track record in the Funny Car category during that same event, making it a special moment for the Force family.
In her latest run, Brittany Force clocked in at 3.667 seconds at a staggering speed of 338 miles per hour, solidifying her 50th No. 1 qualifying position. Reflecting on this achievement, Force became emotional, acknowledging the collective effort that led to this milestone. “Just to hear 50, it was such a big achievement,” she said. “It’s a big achievement by all of John Force Racing. It’s so many sponsors, so many crew chiefs, and crew members over the years that helped us reach this point.”
She also recalled the special moment in 2014 when she and her sister achieved dual No. 1 qualifiers. Although Courtney went on to win the race, that event in Kansas remains significant in Brittany’s career.
Currently ranked eighth in the 2024 championship standings, Force is 173 points from the top. After finishing seventh in 2023, she is focused on improving this season. Despite the challenges her team has faced, she emphasized staying focused on their own goals. “Our focus this year is just improving on last season,” she said. “We’ve set goals, and even when we face setbacks, we continue pushing forward.”
Brittany credited her success to the collaboration of multiple teams and crew chiefs throughout her career. “It wasn’t just done with one team. It was done with so many teams and crew chiefs who taught me things along the way,” she explained.
Reflecting on her career, she expressed pride in reaching this milestone, stating, “50. It seems like an impossible number. Just hearing it, ‘Wow, we’ve really done that.'”
