Michael Jordan & Co Will “Regret” Suing NASCAR, Claims Veteran After Denny Hamlin’s…read more

The NASCAR off-season might be a break from racing action, but the drama is still unfolding off the track. Recently, Denny Hamlin’s 23XI Racing, co-owned by NBA legend Michael Jordan, filed an antitrust lawsuit against NASCAR after refusing to sign the new charter agreement. Known for his direct and unfiltered style, Hamlin hasn’t shied away from publicly addressing the matter.

In a fiery exchange on social media, Hamlin called out Larry McReynolds, a former crew chief and respected SiriusXM NASCAR radio host. Responding to McReynolds’ remarks on the lawsuit, Hamlin posted on X: “Oh, and if you could stop spreading disinformation to your listeners about our lawsuit, I would really appreciate it. Thanks!”

Despite Hamlin’s vocal support for the lawsuit on social media, the legal battle hasn’t been favorable for 23XI Racing so far. The court recently denied the team’s request for expedited discovery, which was seen as a key element of their preliminary injunction case. This ruling prevents the team from quickly accessing detailed information about NASCAR’s charter system, introduced in 2016, which they argue is critical to their case.

Amid these developments, McReynolds has doubled down with a bold prediction. He suggests that Hamlin, Jordan, and their team might ultimately regret their decision to challenge NASCAR in court. While the 23XI Racing team initially hoped to gain leverage by bringing these issues to light, the momentum now seems to be shifting in NASCAR’s favor.

As the legal dispute unfolds, it’s clear that this high-profile clash will continue to generate attention, leaving fans eagerly watching for the next twist in this off-season drama.
