Penn State Football Hires Jim Knowles as Defensive Coordinator from Ohio State

 

In a bold move that has sent ripples through college football, Penn State has announced the hiring of Jim Knowles as its new defensive coordinator. Knowles, who has spent the last two seasons as the defensive coordinator for Ohio State, will now bring his expertise to Happy Valley as Penn State looks to solidify its defense and contend for a Big Ten title.

 

Knowles, 58, is widely regarded as one of the top defensive minds in the game. During his tenure at Ohio State, he transformed the Buckeyes’ defense into one of the most formidable units in the nation.
