Kansas City Chiefs players Wanya Morris and Chukwuebuka Godrick have both been arrested for misdemeanor marijuana possession.
The offensive linemen were booked early on Friday morning after being arrested Thursday night by a sheriff’s deputy.
They were released on Friday afternoon after posting a $2,500 bond, according to the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office. Both men will appear in court on May 23.
The charge facing them both is a Class A misdemeanor – meaning it could lead to a fine of $2,500 and the possibility of a year in jail.
Morris won the Super Bowl with the Chiefs earlier this year. The former third-round pick out of Oklahoma played 14 times last season and should compete for a starting spot this year.

Godrick, however, spent time on the Chiefs’ practice squad having joined the NFL’s International Pathway Player in 2023.
The arrests come at a terrible time for the Chiefs, who have endured a difficult offseason since they beat the San Francisco 49ers in the Super Bowl in February.
