ST. JOHN’S, Newfoundland – Marko Sikic, a forward, has agreed to a Standard Player Contract (SPC) with the Newfoundland Growlers, effective for the balance of the season.
This past month, Sikic, 21, concluded his four-year junior career in the OHL. The Kitchener, Ontario native began his career with the Guelph Storm and played with them for a season and a half before joining the Sarnia Sting, where he was teammates with Ty Voit and Nolan Dillingham.
He concluded 2023–24 with a team-high 57 points (18G, 39A) before deciding to sign with Newfoundland and ending his junior career with Sarnia.
On Wednesday night, Newfoundland will go on their last road trip of the season to play the Worcester Railers in a game that might have a significant postseason impact in the North Division. It is anticipated that Sikic will join the Worcester team.
