The New York Mets won the two-game series with ease, defeating the New York Yankees 12-2 on a wet Wednesday night in Queens.
While the broadcast booths of both teams traded jabs before and during the game, a Mets fan took a swing at Yankees right fielder Juan Soto, and he didn’t hold back.
Keith Hernandez was not thrilled with Soto’s play in the bottom of the fifth inning when he missed a clear cut ball.
“He’s been a liability out there,” Hernandez said. “You have to ask yourself why they intend to utilize him at the deepest corner outfield spot in this ballpark. Indeed, Yankee Stadium. But it’s a fly ball. That must be found out.
