Evaluate the Deal: Braves Tied to ‘Outrageous’ Trade with Selling Tigers…
The Atlanta Braves will be buyers at the trade deadline, while the Detroit Tigers are likely to be sellers once again. Atlanta remains in a win-now phase of its competitive cycle, whereas Detroit has yet to reach that point. Among Kerry Miller’s eight bold trade proposals on Bleacher Report, the one involving my team particularly stood out.
Even though Atlanta might not overtake the Philadelphia Phillies in the NL East, the Braves are projected to secure one of the three wild card spots in the National League, likely as the No. 4 seed. In the AL Central, Miller identifies Detroit as another probable seller alongside the dismal White Sox, who recently handed Atlanta a 1-0 loss, arguably one of the Braves’ most disheartening defeats.
Miller’s proposed trade is designed to benefit both teams but is bound to be controversial.
