Josh Jacobs of the Packers predicts that Jordan Love will become the NFL’s upcoming superstar.
Jacobs expressed great optimism about Green Bay’s offense for the upcoming season, praising his new quarterback.
“Based on what I’ve seen, he possesses all the qualities and skills needed to become a superstar in this league,” Jacobs said about Love on Tuesday’s NFL Network’s “The Insiders.” “As he continues to play, gain experience, and build confidence in his abilities, I believe he will undoubtedly be the next superstar in the league.”
Love, who appeared in just 10 games with one start during his first three NFL seasons (2020-22), amassed 4,159 passing yards, 32 touchdowns, 11 interceptions, and a 96.1 passer rating in his first season as Green Bay’s full-time quarterback, completing 64.2% of his passes. He also rushed for 247 yards and scored four touchdowns.
In Green Bay’s 48-32 victory over the Dallas Cowboys in the NFC wild-card round, Love threw for three touchdowns, achieving a 157.2 passer rating and completing 76.2% of his passes. The Packers’ season ended the following week against the NFC-champion San Francisco 49ers.
Last month, Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst mentioned that the team aims to secure an extension with Love “before training camp,” as he will become a free agent after next season.
