Transfer news LIVE as Rangers and Celtic plus Aberdeen, Hearts and Hibs eye signings

Rangers have one foot in the Champions League third qualifying round – but that doesn’t mean the need they will take their foot off the gas in the transfer hunt.

Russell Martin has brought in seven summer signings but there is more work to be done, despite getting off to a flyer by dumping Panathinaikos at Ibrox 2-0 in the Champions League qualifying opener.

Conor Coady remains on the Ibrox club’s radar and the futures of Cyriel Dessers and Hamza Igamane remain uncertain and one or both heading for the exit would mean a need for attacking replacements.

Rivals Celtic are on the calm waters of the stunning Lake Como but are frantically working behind the scenes on getting players in – and Brendan Rodgers put a myth to bed as he revealed he calls the shots.

Michel-Ange Balikwisha is a name that just won’t go away and now his agent has spoken out, adding fuel to the fire. Playmaker Jakob Breum is another one in the mix. Go Ahead Eagles knocked back a £1.5million bid earlier this month but the Hoops are still sniffing.

Andrej Bacanin has both Glasgow giants on red alert but it’s the Hoops who could be in pole position after the Serbian starlet dropped a subtle hint about where he wants to go..

Meanwhile, in the capital Hearts are doing business of their own. Albanian winger Sabah Kerjota is in the door and Pierre Landry Kabore isn’t far behind as Derek McInnes continues to add to his pool.

Over at Hibs, Lewis Miller is drawing big-money interest from down south but the Easter Road side have booted out bids from Blackburn and Charlton as David Gray gets ready for Europa League qualifying action.

And up north, Aberdeen have re-signed Spurs kid Alfie Dorrington while fending off offers for Shayden Morris. As for Vicente Besuijen? He’s offski to HJK Helsinki.
