Sunderland AFC is proud to unveil their 2025-26 hummel home kit – inspired by the past, designed for the future – available in-store and online from 8am, Friday 25 July.
The 2025-26 home shirt draws inspiration from the iconic 1986-88 design, marking a return to a centrally positioned crest for the first time since the 1990s.
Modern detailing brings Wearside to life through the kit’s design. The white stripes feature a subtle vertical pattern inspired by the designs of the brand-new Keel Crossing bridge.
The bridge’s outline also features at the nape of the neck, with the phrase ‘Connecting The City & Stadium’ printed on the inside collar. The kit speaks to the exciting future for our city and football club and how both are intimately connected.
The shirt will debut this weekend in our pre-season meeting with Hearts.
The home goalkeeper shirt takes inspiration from the decorative tiles of The Bridge Hotel, celebrating local heritage across both player kits.
The full range will be available in adult and junior sizes, including goalkeeper kits, alongside a home kit clothing range featuring a red and white anthem jacket, pre-match top, quarter zip jacket, and ‘Sun’Lun’ hoodie and t-shirt. Mini kits will be available via pre-order from launch
The adult shirt is fronted by W88, with Utilita returning as the front-of-shirt sponsor for junior kits. Premier League and “Say No To Racism” sleeve badges will also be available for printing. For 2025-26, a selection of unsponsored kits will once again be available across all three kits for the first time- including the home shirt.
The on-field shirt worn during Premier League matches features a solid panel to accommodate player numbers, in line with league requirements. However, after holding detailed discussions with the Premier League throughout the summer, the Club will only retail a fully striped-back version for supporters, preserving the traditional look of our home shirt. This decision was reviewed recently with representatives of our fan groups and agreed that in future seasons we will open up dialogue to understand fan sentiment towards what is worn on field and sold at retail.
To celebrate the launch, a special event will take place at the SAFC Store on Friday morning. The official photoshoot set will be recreated, and supporters will have the opportunity to take photos with the Sky Bet Championship Play-Off final trophy – the silverware that marked the Club’s return to the Premier League.
