Robin Propper gets his Ibrox escape

Robin Propper has negotiated his Ibrox pay off, returning to the Netherlands to join FC Twente.

Just like Connor Goldson, Sam Lammers and Todd Cantwell an undisclosed fee was involved, in last year’s Ibrox accounts they admitted that a total of £810,000 was received for selling five first team players.

Propper was signed last summer for £2.5m  and welcomed as a likely captain, before August was out he had scored an own goal in his debut, been knocked out of the Champions League and lost 3-0 to Celtic.

After that things went downhill for the defender and his new club.

Propper is the first contracted player to leave Ibrox since the 49GERS Revolution took control.

A year ago a bright future was being painted for the Dutchman in a new look defence alongside rising stars Jefte and Clinton Nsiala.

Ben Davies, Rabbi Matondo and Jose Cifientes were all left out of the Champions League squad, with no offers coming in they will sit tight until they get offered a suitable pay off for the remainder of their contracts.
