Real Madrid are open to selling three players this summer – there are doubts about two others

Real Madrid are currently focused on sales, as the number of players at coach Xabi Alonso’s disposal has reached 25 following the arrivals of Dean Huijsen, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Franco Mastantuono and Alvaro Carreras since the start of the summer.

The club are keen to bring in a new midfielder, but this can only happen if at least one player leaves in the coming weeks. According to Diario AS, Real Madrid’s management have identified several names who are willing to listen to offers for them.

Rodrygo Goes is the main player on this list. He has been strongly linked with Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain, and has lost importance in the team since the arrival of Xabi Alonso. The 24-year-old could leave if a satisfactory offer comes in.

In addition to Rodrygo, the club are also willing to listen to offers for Ferland Mendy and David Alaba. Mendy has become “superfluous” following the arrival of Alvaro Carreras, with Fran Garcia expected to be the latter’s alternative at left-back.

Meanwhile, David Alaba has fallen to fifth in the central defender hierarchy, behind Huijsen, Rudiger, Militao and Raul Asencio. Madrid have doubts about his fitness due to frequent injuries in the last 12-18 months. He could leave this summer, even though his contract expires next summer.

The situation is also unclear for Dani Ceballos. A return to Real Betis has been rumoured, but he is currently part of Alonso’s plans. However, if a new midfielder is signed, Ceballos could leave.

Meanwhile, there is uncertainty surrounding Endrick Felipe. While he doesn’t want to leave, his minutes will be limited next season, as Alonso plans to rely on Kylian Mbappe and Gonzalo Garcia as his two main options in attack. This means another season with little space for the Brazilian talent at the Santiago Bernabeu.
