Homegrown Leicester City hero set to leave club one year after £30m transfer

The City academy product would make just two starts across 11 appearances in the Premier League, finding more game time in Chelsea’s European Conference League-winning campaign, where he started all but two matches, dropping to the bench for the final before grabbing an assist in his 10-minute cameo.

Now, a little more than 12 months after his City exit, Dewsbury-Hall seems likely to be offloaded by Maresca as part of the ever-going transfer merry-go-round at Stamford Bridge.

Fulham are said to be chief admirers of the player, with website GiveMeSport claiming the Cottagers are keen to sign him as part of a permanent deal.

For long spells last season, Dewsbury-Hall, who made more than 100 league appearances for the Foxes, found himself out of the matchday squad entirely as Maresca juggled his bumper Blues squad.

Chelsea currently have more than 40 eligible first-team players on their books, but can register just 25 of them for the new Premier League season.

GiveMeSport says Fulham ‘have enquired about taking the midfielder on loan’ but it is believed Chelsea would prefer a permanent deal

The Nottingham-born midfielder has failed to make the same impact at Chelsea as he did at the King Power and is understood to be open to leaving the Blues. However, Dewsbury-Hall is not likely to push for a move away.

Fulham boss Marco Silva, who already has Emile Smith-Rowe, Alex Iwobi and Andreas Pereira at his disposal, is looking to add quality to his midfield ahead of the 2025/2026 season.

In the last Premier League season, which saw Leicester City relegated back to the Championship, Fulham managed an 11th-place finish. No official offer has been made for Dewsbury-Hall yet, but Fulham are expected to follow up their interest in the coming days.
