Aston Villa hosted a community coaching session with children in St. Louis on Tuesday morning.
Club ambassadors Alan McInally and Ahmed Elmohamady led the event outside Energizer Park in Missouri, home of MLS side St. Louis City SC.
They participated in training with around 20 youngsters before posing for photos and meeting locals, helping to spread the word about Villa in the USA.
It comes ahead of the second match of our pre-season trip against City on Wednesday night.
“It’s been great,” said Elmo.
“We’ve been having great fun with the kids, training session, it’s a good experience for them.
“Coming out here and seeing some ex-professional faces join training with them, it’s a good experience.
“They had fun, I had fun, Alan had fun. It’s good for us.
“It’s my first time in St.Louis, new city for me, it’s been fantastic.”
Reflecting on the event, Alan added: “It was really good fun.
“They’re obviously pretty young and wherever the ball goes, everybody wants to go to the ball.
“We were trying to get them to pass it to each other, just basic skills.
“The kids had a ball, it’s great fun and they all seemed to enjoy it – getting them shooting on goal and just have a good time.
“It’s amazing how hot it is, the kids did really well because, trust me, the humidity here is unbelievable. But it was really good fun.”
