What West Ham have decided to do after hearing that Aston Villa’s Jacob Ramsey doesn’t want to join them

West Ham United are among the clubs interested in signing Jacob Ramsey this summer.

The Englishman’s future at Villa Park is up in the air. TBR Football exclusively revealed in April that Ramsey is more likely to be sold than Morgan Rogers, and that remains the case.

The 24-year-old has entered the final two years of his contract at Aston Villa, and he is of interest to several clubs in the Premier League.

Graham Potter’s side are one of them, but as TBR revealed, Ramsey has no interest in a move to West Ham United.

The Irons, however, are not accepting defeat just yet.

West Ham’s plan after finding out Jacob Ramsey doesn’t want Hammers move

West Ham United have been working hard on new signings this summer.

The Irons have already brought in El Hadji Malick Diouf, Kyle Walker-Peters and Callum Wilson, while Jean-Clair Todibo has also arrived permanently following his loan spell last season.

TBR revealed that West Ham are also close to finalising a deal for John Victor, and we can also confirm that the Hammers remain in talks to sign Mads Hermansen of Leicester City.

Their top target, however, is Villa star Jacob Ramsey, according to GiveMeSport.

The 24-year-old is not interested in a move to the London Stadium, but the report claims that West Ham have decided to ‘persist with the deal’ and will continue working on the move until the end of the window if they have to.

Emery’s side could be open to selling Ramsey to raise funds after Aston Villa hijacked Crystal Palace’s move to sign Evann Guessand.

Any money they get from Ramsey’s departure will go down as pure profit.

West Ham are making a big mistake

Ramsey is a terrific player; there is no debate there.

The Englishman is great on the ball, is capable of taking players on, and, as he has shown in Aston Villa’s colours, he can create chances and score goals.

Ramsey would definitely improve West Ham, but the Irons should stay away from this deal.

Potter’s side have already been informed that Ramsey doesn’t want to join them. That should’ve ended their interest, but the fact that the Irons have decided to persist with the deal should ring alarm bells.

West Ham should look to sign players who want to join them; what they are said to be doing with Ramsey is a big mistake.
