Newcastle United look set to make another signing in the summer transfer window, this time from Liverpool.
While the summer transfer window has not gone to plan for Eddie Howe’s side, the Magpies have still enjoyed some success, with two major signings confirmed.
In early July, Newcastle United confirmed the signing of Anthony Elanga from Nottingham Forest for £55million. The winger has already shown his quality in the black and white stripes, scoring in a pre-season friendly against Arsenal.
Elsewhere, Newcastle have signed Aaron Ramsdale on loan from Southampton. The 27-year-old joins with experience of playing in the Champions League, and an option to make the deal permanent next summer.
Now, Newcastle are looking to sign a striker, with Nicolas Jackson believed to be one of the top targets on Howe’s list. But in the meantime, a young Liverpool ace has confirmed that he will leave the club with a move to Tyneside on the cards.

Isaac Moran confirms Liverpool exit ahead of Newcastle United move
This is not another signing for the first team, but Newcastle are continuing their youth recruitment drive by poaching yet another top prospect from an academy in England.
The Magpies have made a habit of it since the takeover in 2021, with several promising young players moving to the North East from their academies. It was confirmed that Newcastle had signed Oliver Goodbrand and Alfie Hutchison this summer, and now they are set to sign 16-year-old midfielder Isaac Moran from Liverpool.
Moran made his debut for Liverpool’s Under-18s last season, making three appearances. That appears to have been enough for Newcastle to want to swoop in and sign the youngster. His move to Tyneside has not been confirmed, but Moran has now announced his departure from Liverpool on Instagram.

In a post, he wrote: “I have made the tough decision to leave Liverpool Football Club. I want it to be known that this decision was not taken lightly and I have been honoured to represent the club, but I believe it’s best for my career and future opportunities to go elsewhere.
“I would like to thank all of my teammates, coaches and staff for all their hard work over these past 10 years, in not only shaping me to be the footballer I am, but most importantly the person I am today.
“From the bottom of my heart. Thank you. YNWA.”

Vakhtang Salia set to join Newcastle United in August
While a lot of work has been done to improve the youth setup, there is still one player who signed almost a year ago who has not officially joined the club.
17-year-old Vakhtang Salia agreed to join Newcastle in October last year, but has not actually joined the club due to his age. The striker turns 18 on August 30, so he will join from Dinamo Tbilisi just before the end of the transfer window.
✍️ We have completed a deal to sign highly rated Georgian forward, Vakhtang Salia from Dinamo Tbilisi.
He will officially join the club on his 18th birthday in August and will remain at Dinamo in the meantime.
Welcome to Newcastle United, Vakhtang!

Like Antonio Cordero, who joined on a free transfer from Malaga this summer, Salia is expected to be loaned out for his first season on Tyneside.
Salia has already impressed Howe after the pair met when the Georgian visited Newcastle’s training ground earlier this year.
