Chelsea are reportedly preparing to reignite their pursuit of Juventus sensation Kenan Yildiz, just months after their initial €70 million bid was rejected, according to Metro Sport.
The 20-year-old Turkish forward has been one of Serie A’s breakout stars over the past year, finishing last season with nine goals and eight assists across all competitions. His blistering start to the new campaign — with two goals and four assists in just eight appearances — has only intensified transfer interest from Europe’s elite.
Juventus, aware of Yildiz’s rapid rise and mounting attention, are now pushing to tie him down to an improved long-term contract. However, negotiations are said to be moving slowly, with major financial disagreements between the player’s representatives and the club’s hierarchy.
Sources claim Juventus want to extend his current deal (running until 2029) to 2030, with an optional extra year. But Yildiz’s camp is reportedly demanding a significant pay rise to reflect his growing importance — making him one of Juve’s highest earners alongside Dusan Vlahović and Jonathan David.
Chelsea, meanwhile, are keeping a close eye on the situation. The Blues see Yildiz as a potential game-changer for the future and could launch a renewed bid in the coming transfer windows. Reports suggest it would take an offer exceeding €100 million to tempt the Bianconeri into selling, especially after Yildiz was recently promoted into the club’s leadership group and even wore the captain’s armband in their 1-1 draw against Verona.
Juventus boss Igor Tudor has praised Yildiz’s maturity and professionalism, hailing him as “a player who already behaves like a veteran.”
For Chelsea, this move would fit perfectly into their long-term recruitment strategy under Todd Boehly — targeting Europe’s most exciting young stars before their value skyrockets.
