Everton ‘Make Contact’ to Sign ‘World-Class’ Forward, He’s Open to Move

Everton have made contact with Real Sociedad about signing winger Takefusa Kubo this summer, according to TEAMtalk.

The Toffees are in need of a busy summer transfer window to bolster David Moyes’ squad ahead of the new season, but so far have only been able to bring in Thierno Barry from Villarreal, while Charly Alcaraz’s loan move was made permanent also.

But with Jack Harrison, Jesper Lindstrom, Abdoulaye Doucoure and Dominic Calvert-Lewin all departing during the summer, attack is considered to be a priority area to strengthen.

Sociedad will sell for around £35m

Takefusa Kubo in action for Real Sociedad

Kubo, who has been described as a “world-class” player by Barcelona legend Xavi, has been one of the standout performers for Real Sociedad in recent seasons and is well known for his quick feet and creativity.

But the Japan international has now emerged as a target on Merseyside for the Blues, and Everton have made initial contact with the La Liga club about a deal to sign him.

Sociedad don’t want to lose the winger ideally, but they will reluctantly accept offers worth around €40m (£34.6m), and Everton are now considering whether or not to make a bid.
