West Ham United have not given up hope of sealing a deal to sign Aston Villa star Jacob Ramsey this summer, GIVEMESPORT sources have been told.
The Hammers have had a busy summer transfer window with El Hadji Malick Diouf, Kyle Walker-Peters and Callum Wilson already completing moves to the London Stadium, while a deal has been agreed to add John Victor to their goalkeeping department too.
However, West Ham’s top target for the summer window is midfielder Ramsey, and despite running into several hurdles over a deal, they are refusing to give up in their pursuit.

Ramsey, who has been described as ‘special’, has emerged as the prime target for manager Graham Potter as he looks to bolster his attacking midfield options following the departure of Mohammed Kudus.
But so far they are facing issues convincing the 24-year-old to make the move away from his boyhood club, with Ramsey reluctant to join West Ham currently. GMS sources previously revealed he wants to stay but should he leave Villa Park, Ramsey would prefer to make a move he sees as an upwards step.
Sources can now reveal that West Ham were informed last week that Ramsey currently has no intention of prioritising a move to the London Stadium this summer.
Despite that though, the Hammers have made the decision to persist with a deal and will continue to work on a deal until the window closes if they must.
Villa may be forced to cash in during the window as they look to raise funds following their failure to qualify for the Champions League, and there is interest in Ramsey who is a prime candidate for a sale as any money made would go down as pure profit on their PSR accounts.
But the academy starlet is not a key player under Unai Emery despite the exits of Marcus Rashford and Marco Asensio since the end of last season, and West Ham are now planning to monitor his role in the opening weeks of the season.
