Everton will be hoping for a strong start to life at the Hill Dickinson Stadium when they take on Roma in their final pre-season friendly this Saturday.
The Toffees waved goodbye to Goodison Park last season after 133 years of calling it home, and a win in their first outing at their new stomping ground Everton and Roma will kick off the inaugural match at 3pm for UK audiences, and 4pm for Italian viewers.
The friendly clash will take place at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, Everton’s newly built home ground that can seat up to 52,769 spectators.
This match will not be aired on terrestrial television, and the only place fans can see Everton vs. Roma live in the UK is on EvertonTV.
The game will be available to stream online via the Everton website, and fans can view the fixture either as part of an evertontv+ subscription costing £3.49 per month, or they can purchase a standalone ‘match pass’ to watch Everton vs. Roma for £7.99.Key highlights will be posted on Everton’s website and social media channels after the match.
Everton have bolstered their squad with some important signings this summer including promising striker Mamadou Thierno Barry, who could be a difference maker on Saturday and beyond.
That being said, David Moyes‘s side have struggled for results in pre-season so far, losing three, drawing two and failing to win any of their five preparatory games to date.
The Toffees will be particularly concerned with their outings in recent weeks given that more than half of their matches have been against Premier League opposition, and they will be keen to put their best foot forward with a victory this weekend.
As for Gian Piero Gasperini‘s Roma, they ended the Serie A season with five wins from their final six games, and they have continued that form in the off-season with three wins from four, so expect them to pose a significant threat to Everton.
