Alexander Isak’s time at Newcastle United appears to have reached an impasse, with the Swedish striker reportedly determined not to feature for the Premier League side again—even if he remains at St. James’ Park beyond the current transfer window.
This development, revealed by The Athletic’s David Ornstein, suggests a growing rift between Isak and manager Eddie Howe’s camp. Despite the tension, Newcastle have no immediate plans to sell the 25-year-old forward, although the club is actively assessing options in the transfer market amid interest from Liverpool.
In a related twist, Newcastle United are also among four clubs vying for Manchester United forward Rasmus Højlund. According to The TouchlineX, via journalist Laurie Whitwell, AC Milan, RB Leipzig, and Borussia Dortmund have also expressed interest in the Danish international.
This pursuit comes shortly after Manchester United secured the signature of Slovenian striker Benjamin Šeško from RB Leipzig. Following his arrival, Šeško named Swedish icon Zlatan Ibrahimović as his role model at the club.
