TBR Football can exclusively reveal that Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford is closing in on a new contract with the Toffees.
Pickford has been an ever-present for Everton ever since he made the move from Sunderland in 2017.
The Toffees stopper has also etched his name in England folklore alongside the likes of Gordon Banks and Peter Shilton.
TBR Football can also confirm why Pickford has decided to commit his future to Everton for what is likely to be the rest of his career.
Jordan Pickford impressed by Everton developments
TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey understands that Jordan Pickford has been convinced by a number of big developments at Everton.
These include Jarrad Branthwaite extending his contract at the club and the arrival of both the Friedkin Group and the new stadium.
“Jordan Pickford’s new deal is progressing,” Bailey exclusively told TBR Football.
“We revealed in December that talks were due to take place with the new owners and that has happened in recent months
“Obviously, with Branthwaite staying, the new stadium, the Friedkin Group, Pickford’s very happy at the club.
“He’s cemented himself as one of the best in Europe for me.
“I think he had a brilliant season last season and is showing no signs of a decline, he is arguably at the peak of his powers.
“Pickford’s one of those players where, if he really wanted to demand a move, he could have forced his way.
“We have seen interest in recent years with the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United – but his head has not been turned.
“He’s ready to commit what is likely to be the rest of his career to the club.”
Pickford is set to work alongside – and be challenged by – Mark Travers, who has recently joined Everton from Bournemouth.

Jordan Pickford has already shared what he thinks the future holds for Everton
Just last month, Pickford spoke to the Everton media team about what he thinks the future holds for the Toffees.
Pickford claimed that David Moyes has made the club feel like “the old Everton again” and said he feels the Toffees have stability now.
“I think there were a lot of positives towards the back end of 2024,” said Pickford.
“With the new owners coming in and giving stability to the club, the new stadium, the new gaffer, as well.
“With the manager coming in, we’ve done really well.
“It’s about staying well, getting better and improving as a team – and going into next season firing again and getting off to a good start because the past few years we haven’t done that.
“I think this manager will demand a good start and demand us to get wins on the board and performances.”
