Liverpool Fan Bus Driver Fired After Wearing Reds Shirt Near Stamford Bridge — Chaos Erupts as Chelsea Supporters Surround Vehicle

21-year-old London bus driver, identified as Isaac, has been sacked after a viral video showed him wearing a Liverpool FC jersey while driving past Stamford Bridge — sparking fury among Chelsea supporters just moments after their side’s 2–1 win over the Reds.

The clip, which spread rapidly across social media, captured dozens of angry fans surrounding the bus, banging on the windows, chanting, and even attempting to pry open the driver’s window. The confrontation brought traffic to a standstill outside the west London stadium.

Speaking to TalkTV, Isaac explained that he had no idea his route would pass directly by Stamford Bridge, claiming the Liverpool shirt was simply “the first clean T-shirt” he grabbed before heading out for his shift.

However, his employer, A1 Transport Recruitment, wasted no time responding to the uproar. In a formal statement, the company confirmed Isaac’s dismissal, citing “significant disruption and delays” caused by the incident. They added that no further details would be shared “for data protection reasons.”

Reflecting on the ordeal, Isaac admitted the experience was “scary in the moment” but insisted he wasn’t traumatised. He went on to criticise Transport for London and Mayor Sadiq Khan, accusing them of failing to provide adequate safety measures or support for drivers facing volatile public reactions.

What began as a simple wardrobe choice has now cost the young driver his job — and turned a routine bus route into a viral football flashpoint.
