‘Quality’ £50m Striker Keen to Join Leeds This Summer, Farke Wants Him

Leeds United have been handed a major boost in their pursuit of a striker after it emerged Fulham star Rodrigo Muniz would be open to joining, according to TBR Football.

The Whites are keen to add to their forward options this summer after returning to the Premier League following two seasons in the Championship, coming back up as champions with a 100-point season under their belt.

Daniel Farke has already made it clear that he is looking to strengthen in attack after six first-team arrivals already in defence and midfield, and Muniz has been identified as a top target.

Muniz, who has been described as ‘insane’ and a ‘quality striker’, has been linked to a move to Elland Road all summer after an impressive Premier League campaign in 2024/25 where he scored eight goals despite playing second fiddle to Raul Jimenez for much of the season.

Leeds have been the team to make the most concrete move for the Brazilian, after having a £32.5m bid rejected earlier in the window with the London club keen to keep hold of the forward.

However, it has now emerged that Muniz would be open to moving to Leeds this summer in order to play more regular first-team football.

The 24-year-old currently has one year remaining on his contract at Craven Cottage, plus the option of a further 12 months, so there is no rush to sell him and they currently value him at around £50m.

But the Peacocks are not likely to go that high, although they are keen to add more competition and depth to the position alongside Lukas Nmecha and Joel Piroe, with Mateo Joseph expected to be sold amid interest from La Liga club Real Betis.

Farke has also informed long-time servant Patrick Bamford that he is not in his plans for the upcoming season, and he is expected to depart before the transfer window closes.
