Transfer news LIVE: Man Utd told to ditch deal, Arsenal handed Eze boost, Isak latest, Chelsea swap

The new Premier League season is just four days away and plenty of transfer sagas continue to drag on – not least Liverpool’s pursuit of Alexander Isak and Arsenal pushing for Ebere Eze. This is despite reports claiming the Newcastle hierarchy have informed star striker Isak he won’t be leaving.

Liverpool want to sign the Swede and saw an offer worth more than £100million rejected last week. But even with Newcastle adamant they will not sell, talk of a move persists with Isak desperate to make the switch to Anfield.

Manchester United, meanwhile, showed off new signing Benjamin Sesko ahead of their pre-season friendly on Saturday. They are now set to focus on outgoings, though they continue to be linked with a shock swoop for Gianluigi Donnarumma.

Questions remain over some of United’s fringe players, though. Chelsea continue to be linked with Alejandro Garnacho, though United have been urged to keep hold of Rasmus Hojlund.

Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester City could all make moves before the window closes later this month, but all eyes will now be on the Premier League’s opening weekend. The Blues’ move for Xavi Simons could yet be completed before then, while Arsenal continue to eye Eze and look to offload the likes of Fabio Vieira.

Before the big kick-off, we could see some major movers – the likes of Jack Grealish and Nicolas Jackson are seeking pastures new, while Liverpool continue to eye Marc Guehi. Stay up to date with Mirror Football as we keep you across it all.
