Vinicius Jr receives Real Madrid ULTIMATUM as €350m Saudi transfer edges closer

As exclusively revealed by The Transfers Podcast back in March, Vinicius is asking to earn the same salary as Kylian Mbappe, something Los Blancos won’t agree to, and he is yet to reduce his demands. As a result, negotiations over a new deal haven’t progressed and an exit is on the cards.

Spanish outlet Cadena Ser even claim that Vinicius has been given one year to “regain his best form and justify a raise.” Talks over a new contract will continue during that time, but Real Madrid will open the door to a sale if Vinicius is unwilling to reach a compromise

News of a potential sale follows reports that Saudi Pro League side Al-Ahli are prepared to pay a world-record fee of €350 million in order to acquire Vinicius’ signature within the next three years.

The 25-year-old stands to earn an annual salary of roughly €200m if he completes a blockbuster move to Saudi Arabia and rumours suggest that he is open to leaving Real Madrid for the Middle East.

Who will Real Madrid sign if Vinicius Jr leaves?

If Real Madrid do opt to sell Vinicius Jr next summer, they will have a major transfer kitty to play with.

Arsenal defender William Saliba will no doubt emerge as a key target yet again, as will his compatriot Ibrahima Konate, while links with Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez will also reappear.

A new forward will be a priority, however, and Real Madrid may target a move for Manchester City superstar Erling Haaland, or perhaps Victor Osimhen if he decides to leave Galatasaray.
